JAM Paranormal Lead InvestigatorFLEETWOOD, Pa. — A one-bedroom apartment lessee in Fleetwood contacted JAM Paranormal hoping to answer some questions she had about her apartment.
Initial reports had her feeling uneasy in the apartment, like there was someone watching her. She and her friends have heard noises and they reported having a window in the attic open by itself.
On April 11, 2008, JAM Paranormal set up for a two-hour investigation with investigators Matt Boyer, Craig Johnson, Brett Miller and myself. We had three mini-DV cameras, three digital voice recorders and two EMF meters on hand for the investigation.
One camera was set up in the living room, another in the kitchen and a third in the attic. A digital recorder was placed with each camera.
Splitting into groups of two, Brett and I investigated the downstairs portion of the apartment for the first hour and the attic during the second hour. Craig and Matt started in the attic and took over downstairs during the second hour.
While investigating, we notice that in the living room, there is an electrical box at the entrance, which was giving off high electro-magnetic fields (EMFs). The highest EMF recorded was 30.0.
We also noticed that the floorboards throughout the house creak while walking through. Additionally, with it being an older apartment, there are certain things that can cause odd noises to occur. One such instance is I noticed on recordings that whenever someone in the attic walked toward the stairs and prepared to walk down them, a weird sound reverberates throughout the apartments. It sounds like a low-pitched beep.
With this in mind, and the fact that it’s an apartment building with other tenants, we feel that the high EMFs are creating a sense of uneasiness which is then perpetuated with the natural noises and bangs caused by the older apartment.
We did come across a few audio clips that we could not place, but they were not definitive enough to declare as paranormal.
Other than a pair of abnormal EMF spikes in the middle of the living room, we did not experience anything paranormal while were investigating.
