JIMMY JOHNSONJAM Paranormal Director MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Pa. — A family in Montgomery County contacted JAM Paranormal in November 2008, and after several conversations, they decided to set up an investigation.
The reports included physical contact, doors closing and visible apparitions spotted throughout the house, which was built in the 1970s.
JAM Paranormal investigated for nearly three hours and has filed the following as its investigation report:
Investigators Jimmy Johnson, Craig Johnson, Brett Miller and Alex Sorochinski were on hand for the investigation, along with Zach DeWever, a guest investigator documenting the night with his video camera.
The family, which will remain anonymous, answered several questions to start the evening and gave JAM Paranormal a tour of the house. The primary hot spots were the living room, the kitchen and the master bedroom — and that’s where we set up all our cameras and audio devices.
The married couple had their kids spend the night elsewhere, but they remained on site to oversee and help with the investigation. They will be referred to as Client 1 (the wife) and Client 2 (the husband).
Throughout the first hour, Jimmy and Alex were on the first floor investigating with little happening. The K-2 meter was not lighting up and the house felt normal. Then, after Craig and Brett began experiencing unexplained hits on the K-2 meter, Jimmy and Alex began seeing shadows in the kitchen, the hallway leading upstairs and the dining room.
At one point, a shadow figure blocked out a window, creating a silhouette visible to Jimmy. Alex and Jimmy quickly went to follow it as it darted off, but it was gone. However, when entering the dining room, both experienced the sensation of a chill and the hair on their arms standing straight up.
The shadow, however, was not caught on camera, so this remains as just a personal experience that can only be backed up by the possible EVP that was caught at this time. Labeled EVP 1, it features a raspy, whispering voice behind Jimmy’s, likely a male.
The same style voice was caught at about the same time upstairs in the master bedroom as Craig and Brett were experiencing K-2 hits.
After switching locations, the hits on the K-2 meters continued, but they were sporadic. They were sometimes in line with responses to initial questions, but when follow-up questions were asked to verify, there was no response.
Client 1 experienced dizzy feelings twice throughout the night and both times she experienced it, there were K-2 hits. Using the EMF meter, we scanned the house looking for a strong source of EMFs, but there was no explanation for the floating, random EMF fields we found on the K-2.
Though we could not find the cause, it may explain the dizzy feelings that Client 1 was experiencing.
JAM Paranormal theorizes that Client 1 may be a sensitive, or at least may have a hyper-sensitivity to EMFs, which can have many side effects, including dizziness to the part of failing over, anxiety, fatigue, hearing noises, hallucinations, and more.
This could explain some of the experiences she is having. It does not, however, debunk the closing door in the living room, the trashcan moving in the kitchen and the upstairs bedroom door closing.
JAM Paranormal did not experience the any of the aforementioned paranormal activity, but we did see shadows and catch possible EVPs.
We believe that the reason for the random K-2 hits may be a result of a residual haunt, which is like a tape playing the same thing over and over again. This might also explain EVP 3 with the same thing being said twice — what the voice is saying, however, is unknown.
We also had an experience caught on camera where a few knocks are heard on command. It is tough to say, though, with five investigators, two clients and two cats roaming around whether or not the knocks were paranormal or not.
Despite the personal experiences and the couple questionable EVPs caught at the home, we do not feel we have enough evidence to conclude that there is any type of haunt at this residence. We do believe there is paranormal activity going on, and we plan to keep this case open until we can investigate some more and come up with answers.
