JAM Paranormal is a group of nine investigators, as of right now. We are not accepting applications at this point, but we will post ads when we are looking. 

Jimmy Johnson

Hometown: Hazleton, Pa.
Age: 26
I am a 2005 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and media communications. After graduation, I worked at a few newspapers as a journalist before packing up and moving back to the eastern side of the state, where I earned my masters in electronic media at Kutztown University in April 2009. I am also a sports writer with the Reading Eagle and will begin work with the Patriot League in Allentown in August.

I’ve personally experienced several things at several different places in my lifetime that have left me wanting to know more about the paranormal. I’ve always wanted to do this and now that I have the free time and a group of investigators willing to help, I’m finally ready to get started.

I founded JAM Paranormal with the hopes of being able to help others, all while helping myself understand more about the unknown. I'm fascinated by the paranormal and I enjoy researching the topic. I'm excited that I have the chance to contribute my own research to the field.

Ryan Dotterer
Hometown: Boyertown, Pa.
Age: 25
Graduated from Penn State University in 2006 with a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Engineering. After graduation, I sat on my parents couch for a bit until I landed a job in Massachusetts. Throughout my life, weird things have happened to me, like meeting Jimmy.  
But with all jokes aside, the paranormal has always interested me. Sure, I may have experienced this and that, but my goal is to find answers to questions that remain unanswered. Teaming up with JAM Paranormal has given me the opportunity to conduct this search.
Craig Johnson
Hometown: Arizona
Age: 22

Is a out-of-town member now that he has relocated to Arizona. He will be starting his own paranormal research group in Arizona and I'll add the link as soon as that is available.

Brett Miller


Hometown: Robesonia, Pa.
Age: 20 
I am currently a sophomore at Kutztown University where I am majoring in electronic media. I’ve been interested in the paranormal ever since I was young. I haven’t had any encounters so far, but I have always questioned whether there are paranormal events going on around us.
I’m hoping to find proof that will establish my belief in the paranormal. I’m excited to learn as much as I can about hauntings by working with the fellow members of JAM Paranormal.

 

Matt Boyer

Hometown: Boyertown, Pa.
Age: 24

I graduated from Penn State University in 2006 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Labor and Industrial Relations. After graduation, I started working for my cousin as a carpenter. I am currently pursuing a job in Human Resources so I can actually use my degree.

I have been interested in the paranormal for some time now. I have been witness to events that I was not able to explain until I learned more about paranormal phenomenon. By helping form JAM Paranormal, I hope to experience more events and answer some of the questions I have. I look forward to some good investigations with a great group of investigators.

 
Matt Freed
Hometown: Boyertown, Pa.
Age: 24
I graduated from Drexel University after five long years in 2007 with a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering. After I graduated, I took about two weeks off, and then started working at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland as a Test Director.
Like everyone else in JAM Paranormal, things from the beyond have always intrigued me.  I've seen a few weird things in my life and would like to see more.  JAM gives me the means to explore and try to answer those questions with a group of life-long friends. 

 

Alex Sorochinski

Hometown: Kutztown, Pa.
Age: 20
I am currently a sophomore at Kutztown University majoring in Electronic Media and Journalism/Public Relations. When I'm not at school, my life is sucked up by my job as a Computer and Network Technician at a local school district.

I have never personally experienced any paranormal encounters, but I have always been quite interested in the field, and being part of JAM Paranormal gives me a chance to hopefully experience the paranormal phenomenon as well as find answers to many long pondered questions.

 

Gina Gasper

Hometown: Hazleton, Pa.
Age: 23
Gasper is a college graduate of Kutztown University and currently works as a television news reporter for WYLN in Hazleton, Pa. She is a part-time member and investigator in training.

 

Dan Carrigan

Hometown: Hazleton, Pa.
Age: 22
Carrigan is a college graduate of Kutztown University and currently works as a television news reporter for WYLN in Hazleton, Pa. He joined JAM Paranormal in July 2009. He is a part-time member and investigator in training.
